Is Andy Murray competing in London 2012?

Yes, he is. After coming so close to winning the Wimbledon 2012 final, Andy Murray has said he is more determined than ever to try and win a gold medal in the London Olympics. Right now, though, he is planning to take a holiday, possibly to Miami to get away from the terrible British weather and relax before the next big effort.
Murray is anxious to do everything to prepare for the Olympics and avoid making any mistakes such as he may have made in the past.
The Olympic tennis matches begin on 28 July, with the medal events for the men's singles on 5 August. So Murray and his opponents - such as Roger Federer, who will also be competing - have a couple of weeks to rest and recharge their batteries before they start again.
