JK Rowling has also written a book of fairy tales called The Tales of Beedle the Bard. There is a book of this name mentioned in the last Harry Potter book (The Deathly Hallows) and in 2007 Rowling published this book, claiming it to be the one mentioned in the Deathly Hallows. So there is a connection, but it isn't actually a Harry Potter book.

She has written some extra material around the Potter series as well, a lot of which can be found on the Pottermore website. As well as all her work for children, Rowling apparently wrote two novels for adults before starting the Potter series, though they weren't published. She has now written a complete novel for adults which is expected to be published this year, although the title, date and even the subject have been kept secret so far.

Rowling is often asked if she would write another Potter book - in the past she mostly said no, but lately has hinted that she might consider it.
