No, unlike most action films it isn't. Christopher Nolan, the director, has so far refused to use 3D and prefers to stay with 70 mm. This is a suprise for a lot of people, including Michael Lewis, who created the 3D projection system that is mostly used for 3D films (RealD). Lewis predicts that Lewis will eventually give in and turn to 3D like almost everyone else, but so far Nolan has given no indication of this. He believes it would restrict his creativity as a director. However, Warner Bros would prefer him to use 3D, so there may be pressure from that direction.

The score for The Dark Knight Rises was composed by Hans Zimmer. He has composed music for many other blockbusters including Pirates of the Carribbean, The Lion King and Gladiator. Zimmer has won a string of awards including an Academy Award, and has been named in a list of 100 geniuses of today.
