German is one of the World's most important language and the most spoken language of the European Union with an estimate of 90 to 98 million speakers worldwide.

German is spoken mainly in Germany and in the following countries:
-Austria
-Switzerland
-Luxembourg
-Liechtenstein
There are as well very german speaking communities in the following countries and territories:
Europe: Northern Italy, Denmark, East Cantons (Belgium), Alsace and Lorraine (France), Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Russia and Kazakhstan.
Worldwide: Namibia (former German colony) and countries with German emigration (USA, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela, etc.).
