The tallest skyscraper in South America is the Gran Torre Santiago (Torre Gran Costanera), a 70-story building in Santiago, Chile.
Still under construction, the Gran Torre Santiago became the tallest building of South America and all Latin America in 2012 surpassing the Parque Central Torres in Caracas, Venezuela.
It will reach a height of 300 meters (980 ft).
