As announced yesterday, April the 27th, at Josep Guardiola's leaving press conference, Guardiola's assistant Francesc "Tito" Vilanova (17th September 1969, Bellcaire, Spain) as the next coach for FC Barcelona.

Formerly a football player for teams like Figueres, Celta de Vigo, Real Mallorca, Badajoz, LLeida or Elche, he arrived as Guardiola's assistant Barcelona in 2007, after having trained FC Terrassa or FC Palafrugell.

Tito Vilanova first spotlight was during a match against Real Madrid in the Spanish Supercopa de Espana, when Mourinho poked Vilanova in the eye after a heated discussion due to apparently problematic referee's decision against Real Madrid.

Guardiola agrees Tito Vilanova is the right person to guide the team as he knows the club and the players very well.
