Based on the level of respect or formality, you can say "I'm sorry" in Korean in 3 ways:

  • Informal: mian-hae (미안해), mian-hada (미안하다)
  • Formal: mian-haeyo (미안해요), mian-hapnida (미안합니다)
  • Very Formal: joisong-hapnida (죄송합니다)

- I: na-neun (나는), jeo-neun (저는) - omitted here
- sorry: mian-hada (미안하다), joisong-hada (죄송하다)

Please refer to How to pronounce Korean Alphabet for the English pronunciation in this answer.
