Of course David Bowie is alive!
David Bowie (born 8 january 1947) is taking some years of semi-retirement after the angioplasty and heart surgery that he suffered in 2004.
Since then he has made a few appearances in TV, films and promotional events, he has performed as a guest with Arcade Fire, David Gilmour and Alicia Keys and has curated the 2007's edition of the High Line Festival in New York.
In 2008 he collaborated with Scalett Johansson in her Tom Waits' covers album 'Anywhere I Lay my Head'.
In 2011, his album, 'Toy' was released and it was selection of discarded tracks from the 2001's album 'Heathen' and other rare material.
In a recent interview, the producer of many of his best albums and long time friend, Tony Visconti said that rumors of Bowie's bad health are a lie and that, as far as he knows, he is keeping well and healthy.
David Bowie has his current residency in New York, he is married to Somalian super model Iman and he is the father of director Duncan Jones and daughter Alexandria Zhara Jones born in 2002.
