There was a revolution in Morocco in 1911 because a rebellion broke out against the Sultan. Under the pretext of protecting European lives and property, France sent a flying column to fight agains the rebellion at the end of April 1911. On 1 July 1911, the German Emperor Kaiser Wilhelm sent the gunship 'Panther' to the port of Agadir. However, Britain and France took immediate action and forced him to back down.
