Based on the level of respect or formality, you can say "I am sorry. (for a mistake)" in Korean in 3 ways:

  • Informal: mian-hae (미안해)
  • Formal: mian-haeyo (미안해요)
  • Very formal: mian-hamnida(미안합니다); joisong-hamnida (죄송합니다)
