Based on the level of respect or formality, you can say "It was an accident" in Korean in 3 ways:

  • Informal: geu-geot-eun sago yeotseo (그것은 사고 였어)
  • Formal: geu-geot-eun sago yeotseoyo (그것은 사고 였어요), geu-geot-eun sago yeotseupnida (그것은 사고 였습니다)
  • Very Formal: geu-geot-eun sago yeotseupnida (그것은 사고 였습니다)

- it (subjective): geu-geot-eun (그것은), geu-geo-neun (그거는), geu-geon (그건)
- accident: sago ()
