Since any form of open flame can burn odor in the air, candles are good for eliminating odor like fish smell. They also create an attractive mood in the house.

Open flame burns the combustible odorants in the air and transforms them into less odorous product. Hot flame establishes the convective air current which brings odor to the flame. So the hotter, the better. Gas or charcoal stove can be used, but are not desirable.

Too much use of candles is not recommended because not all the wax in the candle is burnt. Not burnt wax escaped from the flame will make dirty environment with oily residue.

Be careful with fire!
