Based on the level of respect or formality, you can say "I like you" in Korean in 3 ways:

  • Informal: na-neun neo-reul joa hae (나는 너를 좋아해) - na-neun neo-reul can be omitted.
  • Formal: jeo-neun dangsin-eul joa haeyo (저는 당신을 좋아해요), jeo-neun dangsin-eul joa hapnida (저는 당신을 좋아합니다) - jeo-neun dangsin-eul can be omitted.
  • Very Formal: jeo-neun dangsin-eul joa hapnida (저는 당신을 좋아합니다) - jeo-neun dangsin-eul can be omitted.

- I: na-neun (나는), jeo-neun (저는)
- to like: joa hada (좋아하다)
- you (objective): neo-reul (너를), neol (널), dangsin-eul (당신을)
