Because carrots are very good to our health, they are also referred as poor man’s ginseng. One of the most antioxidants in carrots is Beta-carotene which can improve our body immune system. Carrots also provide us vitamin A, fibre, calcium and potassium, which are very important to keep us stay healthy.

However, if you eat too many raw carrots daily (e.g. over 10 carrots a day), you may experience side effects like orange skin, producing excess gas and nutritional deficiencies. Some research indicate that if you eat 2 to 3 kilos carrots a day, you may get cancer. Read more here.
