This week, Robert Air, a 56 years-old construction worker living in Edinburgh, died of a condition known as legionnaires' disease.

But what exactly is the Legionnaires' disease? This disease is a very dangeorus and potentially fatal lung infection caused by the legionella bacteria. The focus of the infection is reported to have been in 16 industrial cooling towers spread throughout the city of Edinburgh.

This disease is caught by breathing small droplets of contaminated water although it is not contagious and cannot be easily transmitted from person to person. Headache, muscle pain and worsen with high fever and chills.
