As of 29 June 2012, Lukas Rosol, the 26 year older Czech tennis player has won 18 matches on Tour. Lukas has never gone through a third round of a Grand Slam since he turned pro in 2004. However, he defeated the 11-times Grand Slam Champion Rafael Nadal in the second round of Wimbledon 2012. This gave Lukas an instant fame as his name was not known by many before the match.

Before Wimbledon 2012, Lukas could not go through to the second round of Wimbledon for consequent 5 years. On the other hand, the No.2 seed Rafael has never lost in the second round of a major tournament for seven years since 2005.
