You won't be able to remove limescale deposits in a saucepan by doing your usual washing up. To descale a saucepan, you need to do the following:

• Fill the sauce pan with half water and half vinegar
• Boil it for about a minute
• Rinse the pan and wash it with washing liquid
• Dry the pan with clean tea towel.
