All jobs are worthy jobs if they do good, or at least don't harm anyone, and if you are doing the job as well as you can. And your family should recognise that.

In the world we live in, though, people do tend to want their children to find steady, well-paid jobs because they want them to be secure and comfortable. That doesn't mean that a highly paid job should make you more proud than a low paid one, but your family would probably prefer it.

The top jobs used to be considered 'the professions' - medicine, law, accountancy etc. Teaching is considered 'worthy' , that is useful, but is less well paid and has less status.

But in the end, you have to think about what is realistic for you and what you are good at - if you think only about status or impressing your relatives, that's not the way to succeed. Why not start by looking at some careers advice and having a talk with a teacher or someone who can help you plan your career? Good luck.
