Based on the level of respect or formality, you can say "What's your name?" in Korean in 3 ways:

  • Informal: neo_eui ireum-i mwo-ya? (너의 이름이 뭐야?), neo_eui ireum-i mwo-ni? (너의 이름이 뭐니?)
  • Formal: dangsin-eui ireum-i mwo-yeyo? (당신의 이름이 뭐예요?), dangsin-eui ireum-i mueot-ipnigga? (당신의 이름이 무엇입니까?)
  • Very Formal: dangsin-eui seongham mueot-ipnigga? (당신의 성함이 무엇입니까?), dangsin-eui seongham-i eotteok-hae dwosipnigga? (당신의 성함이 어떻게 되십니까?)

- what: mueot (무엇), mwo (뭐)
- your: neo-eui (너의), dangsin-eui (당신의)
- name: ireum (이름), seongham (성함)
