Based on the level of respect or formality, you can say "I am a student" in Korean in 3 ways:
| Informal | na-neun haksaeng-iya | 나는 학생이야 | |
| Formal | jeo-neun haksaeng-iyeyo | 저는 학생이예요 | |
| Very Formal | jeo-neun haksaeng-imnida | 저는 학생입니다 |
- I: na-neun (나는), jeo-neun (저는)
- to be: ida (이다)
- student: haksaeng (학생)
