Based on the level of respect or formality, you can say "I want new shoes" in Korean in 3 ways:

  • Informal: na-neun sae sinbal-eul won-hae (나는 새 신발을 원해)
  • Formal: jeo-neun sae sinbal-eul won-haeyo (저는 새 신발을 원해요), jeo-neun sae sinbal-eul won-hapnida (저는 새 신발을 원햡니다)
  • Very Formal: jeo-neun sae sinbal-eul won-hapnida (저는 새 신발을 원햡니다)

- I: na-neun (나는), jeo-neun (저는)
- to want: won-hada (원하다)
- new: sae (새)
- shoes: sinbal (신발)
