Many soltuions are found on the web to solve this problem. The easiest way to type Spanish accents is to go to a website like spanish.typeit.org/ and just follow the simple instructions. You just have to type and copy paste.

Another more annoying solution is found in Word. Go to insert, then symbol and click on the special charachter you need. This is more annnoying because it forces you to stop writing and do this process.
