Is the UK going to have more floods this spring?

It's now almost summer, so we were hoping to have no more floods for a while, but lately the rain seems to have come back. It is nowhere near as bad as it was in February and March 2014, which was some of the worst flooding in years especially in the south, but there are some flood alerts in place now (24 May). These are mainly in the south east of England and the Midlands, not so much in other parts of the UK. However, there has also been some local flooding in lots of places, and the concern is that, as the ground in many places hasn't properly dried out since the late winter floods, it could be quite easy for heavy rain to cause further problems.
The best way to check if there is likely to be flooding in your area is to contact the Environment Agency website and see if your area is at risk of flooding. You can also sign up for regulary email updates and alerts.
