John "bonzo" Bonham (31 May 1948 – 25 September 1980) was the drummer of one of the most important and influential rock bands in history, Led Zeppelin.
He was known for the intensity and force of his drumming as one of the soundmarks of Led Zeppelin's powerful music style. He is also considered one of the best drummers of all time.
John Bonham had the death of a rock star; he died at the age of 32 on September 25 1980 drowned in his own vomit while he was sleeping after having started the day with four shots of quadruple vodka.
