The British public wanted the government to build eight new dreadnoughts battleships because they are scared by the growing German navy. The British government went head with the construction plan in 1910 to demonstration the power to the Germany.

Typical Dreadnoughts have big gun armament and steam turbine propulsion. They are new class of warships in the beginning of twentieth century.
