Based on the level of respect or formality, you can say "The weather today is very cold" in Korean in 3 ways:

  • Informal: oneul nalssi-neun maeu chuweo (오늘 날씨는 너무 추워), oneul nalssi-neun maeu chupda (오늘 날씨는 너무 춥다)
  • Formal: oneul nalssi-neun maeu chuweoyo (오늘 날씨는 너무 추워요), oneul nalssi-neun maeu chupseupnida (오늘 날씨는 너무 춥습니다)
  • Very Formal: oneul nalssi-neun maeu chupseupnida (오늘 날씨는 너무 춥습니다)

- weather: nalssi (날씨)
- today: oneul (오늘)
- very: maeu (매우), mucheok (무척), muji (무지)
- cold: chupda (춥다), chu-un (추운), chada (차다), chan (찬)
