According to the Guinness Record the world's most expensive car is a 1963 Ferrari GTO which was sold at an auction for £12 million ($17.275.000) in May 2010.

The buyer was the british multi-millionaire TV and Radio Presenter Chris Evans.
Only 36 of these cars were made in the period 1963-1964.
