Now that Bruce Forsyth is leaving there will probably be bets placed on this soon. The likeliest choice and probably the most popular is Anton du Beke. As a professional dancer on the show and well known light entertainer he ticks all the boxes, unless the show's producers preferred to keep him as one of the dancers or he has other plans.
Claudia Winkelman has also been suggested. She already hosts the show on Sundays along with Tess Daly, but although this seems to work out fine with most viewers it could be different if she were the main host, as she has no real background in dancing.
Former contestants could also be chosen, such as Zoe Ball or Matt Baker. However, when former contestant Aleisha Dixon was made a judge a few years ago, her lack of real expertise soon showed, and this could be a problem with a host too. Well known personalities like John Barrowman may also be considered.
