The RMS Titanic, the largest passenger steamship in the World in its time, was built at the Harland and Wolff Shipyard in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

On April 14, 1912, on her voyage from Southhampton (England) to New York she struck an iceberg, broke in two pieces and sank at 2.20 in the morning of April 15 causing the death of 1.517 people.
