Question

Can women be freemasons?

Many Grand Lodges including The United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE) neither admit women nor formally accept any Masonic body that admits women. However, UGLE has indicated two English bodies (The Order of Women Freemasons and The Honourable Fraternity of Ancient Freemasons) can be considered as part of Freemasonry in a general context.

So the answer is 'yes, women can be a freemason but not in a main stream masonic body'.
