Based on the level of respect or formality, you can say "Happy New Year!" in Korean in 3 ways:


Informal saehae bok mani bat-a! 새해 복 많이 받아!
Formal saehae bok mani bateuseyo! 새해 복 많이 받으세요!
Very Formal saehae bok mani bateusibsiyo! 새해 복 많이 받으십시요!

  • happy: haengbok-hada (행복하다)
  • new: saero-un (새로운)
  • year: hae (해), nyeon (년)
  • New Year: saehae (새해)
