There will always be a few things you just have to keep for fear of hurting someone's feelings, but most of us do end up getting (and giving) a lot of gifts that sadly are no use to the person who receives them. The best thing is to get all these gifts together and think about where each one would do most good.
Some you can pass straight on to other people (it could be a bit mean to imply you spend money on something, though). Others will find a home in a raffle or any local community event - if you know a club or organization that has raffles and auctions, that's a good idea. Charity shops will welcome a lot of things too, especially clothes, games and books.You can sell them too, of course, on sites like Ebay or Gumtree - again, it would feel mean to profit in that way, but some people do it and you could always give the money to charity. Or you could give them to a charity specializing in unwanted gifts, like Healthy Planet.
