There are many definitions of poverty, and you can not only see poverty in countries in Africa but also in developed countries like America and Britain. Poverty can be further developed into absolute poverty and relative poverty. People who don't have access to clean water, nutrition, clothing, shelter, education and health care are considered live in absolute poverty. On the other hand, relative poverty is defined in a social context. For example, in the UK if your income is less than half of the national average, you are in poverty.
