In 2007 Nadal beat Novak Djokovic and in 2009 he beat Andy Murray.
He was runner-up of this competition in 2010, being defeated in the final by Djokovic.
In 2012, Nadal was defeated in semifinals by Roger Federer, who finally won the title.
The Indian Wells Tournament has been held since 1974 in the city of the same name in California. It is played in hard surface in the second largest tennis stadium in the world.
