In which countries is French the official language?

French is official language in 29 countries, among which most countries are in Africa. This includes Democratic Republic of the Congo, Madagascar, Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Niger, Senegal, Mali, Rwanda, Guinea, Chad, Benin, Togo, Central African Republic, Republic of the Congo, Gabon, Comoros, Equatorial Guinea, Djibouti, Seychelles.

In Europe, only 3 countries have French as official language, which are France, Switzerland and Monaco. In North America, Canada and Haiti use French as official languages.
