Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) is a very common infection amongst people who have ever been sexually active.
HPV is easily transmitted during sex between two people of different gender or the same gender.
Since HPV shows no symptoms, a person may have had the infection for many years without knowing about it.
Therefore, it is important for women aged 25-49 years old to get tested every three years, and for women aged 50-64 to get tested every five years.
