Jim Morrison (December 8, 1943 – July 3, 1971 was an American musician, singer, poet and filmmaker. He was a founding member of the band The Doors.
He is considered one of the most charismatic artist in the history of rock and of the greatest vocalists of all time.
His work was strongly influenced by poetry and philosophy, alcohol and shamanism.
Some of his famous songs are L.A. Woman and Light my Fire.
He recorded 6 albums with the Doors and a posthumous in which the remaining members of the band put music to his voice.
He died in 1971 in Paris, probably victim of a heroin overdose because the causes of his death remain unclear.
